“If something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it.”– Elon Musk
We all have hopes and dreams, so many people want to make their life count. I included. We all just want to do something meaningful but most of the things stopping us has a lot to do with us. From the last episode of the JM show, if you are not where you ought to be, you are 80% responsible.
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”– Jim Rohn
A lot has been said about goal setting from virtually everyone. I believe most of us have started the year with certain goals. There is a lot of energy going around now. However, watch out! It will fizzle down in no time. It gradually becomes, same old, same old. As the clock ticks along, we fall back to routines. If we are lucky, at the middle of the year, we might get another reminder, “it is June 2020”, half of the year is gone already. How many goals have you achieved and all that. At this point the whole cycle starts again. We pick up from where we left off, trying to hit those goals we set.
I just want to leave you with one question that perhaps, might help keep the fire burning this year, even when you are not motivated about anything. This question will help you stay on track. I want you to remember this one question. It will help you put a lot of things into perspective: HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT IT?
How badly do you want that grade? How badly do you want that house or car? How badly do you want to be debt free? How badly do you want to be financially free? How badly do you want to lose weight? I want you to always keep this in mind as you set goals. It keeps you going when you want to quit. It give you that extra push.
“You can always find a solution if you try hard enough.”– Lori Greiner
If you do not want it badly enough, do not bother setting that goal, because you will quit sooner or later. The extent to which you want it determines how far you are willing to go, to do the necessary things required to achieve that goal.
Till next time,
